The Underground Speakeasy & Distillery
Located in Downtown Las Vegas, The Underground Speakeasy & Distillery is something to check out if you are in Vegas. I recommend going to the mob museum as well if you haven’t been since they are in the same building. It’s in a slightly quieter place of downtown Vegas but literally like 10 minutes or less of a walk from the famous Fremont street. The bar's theme is the Prohibition era, when many hidden speakeasies fulfilled the country's desire for the forbidden alcohol.
To get to the bar, you will descend a staircase that leads you underground, which is really cool and quite an experience in itself. Inside, you'll find a delightful array of vintage prohibition-era posters adorning the walls, and the interior of the bar truly captures the essence of that prohibition period, just as you can see in the video.
We loved the drinks! I also love how they give some interesting information on each drink of the history and its inspiration. The staff were very nice and welcoming and will explain to you in details of any questions you have about the drinks. You can order drinks off the menu so feel free to ask away!
The bar and museum both are informative and have really cool exhibits. I haven’t been to the bar when there is live music but I hope I can go back to experience that. Regardless we really loved the drinks, the fun atmosphere, and felt like we learned a lot during the experience.
I haven’t explored the distillery but have hear good reviews about it. You can buy a set of discounted tickets when you buy the mob museum ticket. Hoping I can go give the distillery a try one day!
Again, highly recommend to check this bar out if you are in Vegas!
